“Redeem The Time…” Ephesians 5:16

Ephesians 5:16

During this unprecedented event known as Corona Virus/Covid 19, I have been determined that:

1. I will not go cross-eyed watching Netflix, and

2. I will not gain the ‘Corona 15’ because of emotional eating! Instead, I am going to use this time to do beauty treatments- paying extra special attention to my hair and skin. I’m going to read a book each week. I’m going to finish painting projects around the house and I’m going to make a new dress! Most of all, at the beginning of each day, I’m going to take advantage of the opportunity to experience God in a more leisurely, unrushed way. I don’t have any place to be. I can spend as much time as I like seeking Him, inquiring of Him and listening to His voice! May we all maximize our time every day. May we “redeem the time, because the days are evil.” Ephesians 5:16

REFLECT

How are you using your time? Are you wasting a lot of time?

It may be helpful for you to keep a journal of your activities. Do you spend hours on end watching television? Are you spending a lot of time with social media? Facebook? Instragram? Yet, you don’t seem to have time for your devotional life, or helping your children with homework, or ministry to others?

PRAYER

Dear God: Please convict me when I am wasting time. The days I live cannot be repeated. There are no ‘do overs.’ I want to grow in my faith. I want to be the parent, friend, and colleague that will draw others to You and expand Your kingdom. Please give me the desire to redeem the time.

In Jesus’ name.

Amen
